Can someone please help me before I lose it.......

I just did another log and when I try to run it through the DSLOGRedux it says "the engine speed is not represented in the log file---you must log the equivalence ratio". I have an asteric beside engine speed (selected) and since I have the U7193 i do not have the option to log AFR (equivalence ratio) even though I clicked "yes" to having the U7193.

Also, when I open the file it is just jiberish.

This is my daily driver and am a little intimidated to mess with setting I do not understand which is why I plan to get a custom tune.

I have attached a copy of yesterdays log. If someone could help with getting at least the injector slope dialed int that would be awesome.

checked it out... it's a corrupt log file... no good....

Is there any way to reset the unit or anything like that.

I thought something was up as when I did my first log it only took 20 min but the last 2 I have tried took over 45 minutes which is a real pain for me to get.

Any suggestions to get a proper log completed as I have followed the instructions etc.

Ok so I finaly figured it out I think. I had to remove the predator tune and then re add it. I attached a log I did today and the DSlogredux program says to reduce the injector slope by -15%.

I guess I will have to get a custom tune right away as I do not feel any difference with just the diablo tune installed.

wow... that's running LEAN.... got an air leak somewhere...

and you only have a K&N drop in filter????? no exhaust work or anything else done to the truck??? stock MAF sensor????

I would check all clamps from the airbox back to the throttle body, make sure everything is TIGHT...

then I would check for exhaust leaks...

you should not be that lean at all...

I double checked everything and it all it tight and secure. The truck has 70 000km's (aprox 45 000 miles) and is all stock as far as I can tell. I purchased it from the original owner last year with 50k km's and I doubt he would have changed the MAF.

I had already changed it to the -15%. Do you see a problem with making it that rich?

will probably make it sluggish, tranny shift wierd due to the increased engine load cuz of all that fuel it's dumping in....

you drive it since the change?? how is it???

do a new log after the change??

what about exhaust leaks??? check from the manifolds all the way back through to the rear O2 sensors...

The next day I hooked up my trailer for a small weekend camping trip and it threw a bunch of codes (bank 1 and 2 too rich etc). I split the difference and leaned it out from -15 to -7%. No more codes. It still idles like crap but it has ever since I started messing with the Predator.

I also checked for leaks again and can not find any. Maybe a stock air filter would change things???

I will do another log on the way home tonight and post it up.

I realy want to get a custom tune done before I do a long trip in a couple of weeks but I take it I need to get my slope dialed in?

you don't have to... that can be taken care of when the custom tune is done....

hmm maybe the MAF is dirty from kn oil?

I did clean it last fall but it might be a good idea to clean it again. The truck came with the K&N but I have read lots that they are not all that great. Maybe it is worth throwing a paper filter in.

I did another log on the way home today (attached) and it said to go back down another -7% which would bring back to the -14 (-15 original) range that the dslogredux first mentioned.

I think I am going to just get the custom tune and leave it in the hands of some one who know what he is doing.

you have cool intake air temps... 64-66* only....

if that was normal summer weather, 20-25* hotter, with 84-95* intake air temps... betcha those ltft numbers would be down lower/closer to where they should be...


if everythings tight everywhere, no air leaks anywhere, no exhaust leaks anywhere, and the MAF is clean and good to go, and you're numbers are still high like that, then it probably has to do with were you live.. .your elevation/altitude, weather conditions/temps/pressure, etc etc...

so, don't sweat it...
