Just updated from 9r23 to 9r26 and car says I need update

Post by cheesewizard »

I have been trying to get the 93 CAI with modified parameters tune on my car for a couple of days now with no luck. Everything went through and the Predator showed the tune was installed on the car. Problem is I had turned off the MDS and changed the fan settings for the new JET 180 T-stat I had installed BUT MDS was still turning on and the temps were getting up to 208 degrees driving at moderate speed with a light foot. No WOT or heavy throttle.

My Predator was delivered with the 9r23 crom so I figured it wouldn't hurt to update to the latest revision. Well I just went out to the car and plugged up the Predator only for it to tell me it needed and update.

What do I need to do?

DSDownloader, the same program you used to update the predator.

BlackCloud has an export vehicle with a calid that does not appear in Chryslers database. We are working on it.

Cheese, you just posted that your tool is asking for a calibration update. If so, it says right on the screen, please go to www.diablosport.com/dcx and follow the instructions there.

dodgy, when you open DSDownloader, there are clear instructions in the link titled 'if tool dispolays application missing or corrupt, click HERE'.
Turns out I did all that EXCEPT update calibration. Just finished installing the tune in the car and now just need to drive it. Thanks for the help and sorry for coming off as an "arse".

Will it take a few "cycles" for the car to learn the 93 CAI tune or should it respond immediately? I just got back from a drive and it felt a bit "sluggish"(especially from idle) and the temps got up to 204 then backed down to 199 and stayed there.

I changed the fan settings to:
Cooling Fans AC off
High MPH HS 193
High MPH LS 185
High MPH MS 193
Low MPH HS 193
Low MPH LS 185
Low MPH MS 193

Cooling Fans AC on
HS 193
LS 185
MS 193

Are these settings good for the JET 180 T-stat?

Now that I have my head out of my a__ I can say that this whole time I have been reading the OIL temp  . I pulled up the water temp on the EVIC and when the temp reached 185 it dropped to 183 so I know the fan is working. Car still feels sluggish though.
