The fact is than Diablo promised many things to us, but we don't have them and we are not near to get them...

And yes I have not only one, but two HEMI... And like I said, I pre-order and pre-paid my predator, I have some reason to be not happy.

you know...i have been to evey dodge truck forum that i am a member of today...do you know what the common thig is about them (besides dodge trucks)??? HEMISPORT being a royal pain in the @$$. I cant believe that he is even here complaining about this. you are giving us hemi owners a bad name...not to mention giving the canadians and the french a bad name...which is pretty d@mn hard to do!!

J/K all you canadians out there...what would we do with out you...we would have to watch two borders if it wasnt for you!

Hey Mike how much longer do we have to listen to this guy? I too am unhappy with no tuner for my truck but I'm not an asshole about it!!! I read the forums every day and I don't think anyone deserves to have to listen to this guy!!!

There ain't no love for that guy here, that's for sure, if 95% wanted to see me gone, I'm sure I'd take the hint and not come back. I don't see why he couldn't just make his point, say he isn't going to purchase the product, because in his mind he has lost confidence in DiabloSport and be done with it! That said, I'm going to take advantage of this forum and make MY point.

I was gung ho for the product when I first started reading on it, and had it come out on or close to it's release date, I would have jumped on it and ebay'd my SC on the spot. Now, I am not so sure... I'm sure they had good reason - think of what would have happened if they got out a POS just to meet a deadline and it screwed our trucks up! They have, however, delayed the release where it has gotten to the point that I have seen some viable alternatives in the works by other companies. In absolute honesty, I have to admit that I don't have the same level of confidence in the product that I would have had a couple of months ago.
I, for one, am VERY interested to see how SCT does with their tuner. I have heard VERY positive things from the 5.2 & 5.9 guys and I kinda like the way they are going to go about marketing the product, where they will have many dyno tested tunes on their database based on different combination of mods and you can get the best 3 for your setup, or choose to have your truck dyno'd and have a custom tune or tunes for your truck to switch to and from. I'm thinking they can be a lot more aggressive on their tunes, because Diablo is going to have to be careful of how much you can customize as an end user! I mean, they can't allow Joe Idiot to peg EVERY setting, blow up his truck and then sue them!
I'm not bashing DaibloSport in any way and I'm not saying that I will NEVER purchase one, it's just that their unfortunate delays have made me decide to wait and see how the SCT & their product (as well as any others that may hit the market in the near future) compare when both are available.

I don't know how you figure the canned SCT tune is going to be more aggressive than the canned Diablo tune for stock cars. Once your car isn't stock you're going to want to go to a custom tune anyway and from what vendors are saying the Diablo's software lets them edit everything they need.

That's just it, the SCT will not be a "canned" tune. As I said before, they will have a database of tunes based on MANY different mod. combinations. They will then d/l the ones that BEST fit your mods. I also now understand that if you purchase an SCT they will do a custom tune for you at no extra cost. Only cost is a modest fee for the dyno at one of their authorized dealers. At this time I don't know the policy & fees that Diablo charges.
And again, I'm not slamming any one product. Well, save one.
I am still PO'd about all the broken promises given by SC and look to ditch it as soon as a better product hits the market - I was assured by management of that company that custom tunes were 1-2 months away, before I purchased. I was also told that certain features I wanted would be in future releases. Not only have they not materialized almost 18 months later, but we are now told custom tunes WILL NEVER be offered and I have been told that the 2 easy features I asked for have "been removed from the back burner".
I also am not being naive enough to say that one un-released product is better than another un-released product.
I am just saying that in the absence of the Diablo, they have let the SCT intrigue this consumer enough that I personally am now going to wait and compare the two before I make a purchase.

Well I got the Diablo in today. I've run their stock 91 CAI tune on my car. It's great. I'm sure if I had much more in terms of mods I'd be going to find a Diablo CMR dealer and getting a custom tune, but for now I'm happy. I've been leaving 10 feet of tire marks with only about 60% pedal right now, so yeah I think Diablo hit the mark.
