Will there be a tcm removal tune for a Pontiac G8?

Alot of the tune on the g8 is for the transmission. The superchips tuner has a tcm removal tune.

I was told the predator does not have this option yet. If this is true when will it be available.

Also I have kooks headers with their high flow cats. I am getting codes for the rear o2 sensors. Can the predator turn off the rear 02 sensors and tune for headers?

predator does not have it...

get the Trinity... it has more features, better logging, and will have the tcm/tranny update available for it in the near future when it's completed, as well as an update that will allow you to tune more than one vehicle at a time...

you will have to get a custom tune created for ya in order to disable the trouble codes... that functionality was removed 2-3 years ago due to EPA regulations...

so the trinity will not work with headers due to the codes. it would tune for a/f ratio and timing advance with headers. but the codes will come on unless i went with say livernois or vector which remove the 02 sensor codes.

No, you can get a custom tune from someone like Lew that will load right to your Trinity and take care of any codes as well as dial in your bolt ons.

yeah, like mike said ^ ^ ^ you can get a custom tune from a CMR custom tuner like me, to do a custom tune for you that disables the trouble codes... then you import it to your Trinity, then install to your car... problem solved...

livernois, vector, are just custom tunes that will disable the trouble codes... you can get the same thing done for the trinity with a custom tune done by a diablo CMR tuner like myself...

i went ahead and ordered the anti foulers from Solo. Alot of people state their anti foulers are of excellent quality and will get rid of the rear 02 sensor code.

And no disrespect to you. I thought the purpose of the trinity was that it tunes for headers, underdrive pulleys, cai, etc.

Do you know when they will be releasing a tcm tune for the g8?

you CAN tune for headers, CAI, etc etc by getting your fueling/timing dialed in...

but the ability to disable any trouble codes, especially emissions-related items, is a big NO-NO and carries hefty fines if caught allowing that... so that functionality was removed 2-3 rears ago due to EPA regulations and their big crack-downs they had going on...

SCAN for trouble codes, and CLEAR trouble codes - yes... but completely disable them so they never come back, no...

NO handheld programmer will let you disable the trouble codes...

i know that now. even though i have cats they do not put out the same message to the rear oxygen sensors. that is good to know that i can tune for headers, cai, etc. And I am positive you do good work and are trying to make a living. thanks for your input!
