U7194? will it disable AFM on 07 Silverado 1500 NBS?

I just ordered my U7194 for my 2007 silverado 1500 nbs vin J. Im being told that the 87 tune that I want to install disables the DOD or active fuel management. Is this correct or do I have to go in a shut it off manually? What do I gain with my truck by using the 87 tune anyway? Thanks, Kris

The tunes do not disable AFM.
We can do that for you in a custom tune if you would like.
The 87 tune adds about 10-12 rwhp and improves throttle response and mileage.

I ve called diablosport twice in the last week before I ordered and each rep said it did?? I also called a Diablo authorized tuning shop and says it does as well? If this is not the case how do I go about getting the custom tune? The only reason I bought it was to disable the afm which is garbage. Any help would be appreciated, thanks again Kris

Ok now Im sqaured away lol. My tuner should arrive tomorrow and I will get you the stock tune parameters. I guess I would like the 87 tune with the addition of diasabling the afm. You by any chance dont have the part numbers for the cables at radio shack do you?? I need 2 cables right? Thanks again and as I told the lady on the phone sales told me it does disable the afm once any of the tunes are installed.

1: Serial Cable:
Standard straight-through DB9 (9-pin to 9-pin) RS232C serial cable (6 foot cable is more than enough). Check your computer to see if you have a male or a female port on the back, as some are different. You will need a male end to go into your Predator.
(Radio Shack Part # 26-117, 6-ft DB9 male to DB9 female shielded cable.)

2: Power Adapter:
CLASS 2 TRANSFORMER
OUTPUT : 12VDC 1000mA (1 Amp)(Radio Shack Part # 273-1776)
Note: Plug Tip is 2.5mm x 5.5mm, female, and center is positive.(Radio Shack Part # 273-1717)

Radio Shack normally carries both of these items. Most Wal-Marts have the Power Adapter (multi output version).

Note: If you have a laptop, you can use the vehicle's power to power up the Predator, instead of using a Power Adapter, and just do the following with your laptop and Predator inside of your vehicle.

You can also use a USB to serial adapter if you would like.
