What is the BEST older Crom for The 6.0?

Just trying to figure out what the best older crom file for power and fuel mileage is?

I put the 8R10 crom in my 07 F350 and the power is great.I didn't get to run it enough to check the fuel mileage yet though,but I will keep you all posted.

Ran truck today around town,short trips not over 10 miles and it is averaging 14.5-15 mpg on the 8R10.

Went on a trip to Columbus Ohio yesterday.Had the cruise set to 70MPH.Ran over 350 miles and still at half tank.My reader is posting 20.3 right now and is usually right on when I test is vs. hand calculation.It was windy on my way out and raining and wind coming home.This includes interstate and local roads.

Thanks for posting that info bigroc. I would be happy to get 20 MPG again. I will try that cal after i get my truck flashed back and get rid of of this crappy new cal. Did this reduce your turbo lag any? I have noticed mine got worse after Ford flashed it last. Maybe its just me, but it seems worse.

What verision did you start with or was the 8r10 in the Predator when you brought it? I have verision 7r80 and I'm nervous to update to any of the newer programs. Reading other postings it sounds like I may run into problems going to another verision. Do you have any mods or running stock?

Thanks, Should I be worried about blowing a head gasket if I use the Predator programer? Do you know what kind of pressure is generated with the 7r80 tune? Is the tune just a timing and trany shift point change? I know that the 6.0 is very senstive to heat and pressure.

I am currently running 9r11. That will change as soon as I get rid of Fords newest cal. No other mods at this time. EGR delete will be next since warranty just ran out. As far as updates - stick with what you have and avoid all Ford dealers if you can.

About 6 months. During this time I had the oil cooler replaced under warranty, but that is a fairly common problem with these so I dont know if the tuning expidited that or not. I doubt it. I do not recommend 9r11. The only reason I am running it is due to the fact that this is the only crom that Diablo has that will work with VXCF9 (Fords new strategy). I will be getting rid of that hopefully next week. At that time I plan to roll back to the 8r10 crom that bigroc was discussing earlier. Unless someone knows a better one.

jtc1983 the new programing works great I am back to the way things used to be, as far as rolling back to the 8r10 mine wouldn't let me, I am running the 9r12a now and it seems to work pretty good though i haven't got to check the milage yet but i'm sure it can only get better than it was.
