Automatic display dimming for night driving?

Automatic display dimming for night driving?
Is there plans to make an update to the Trinity so that it will automatically dim the display when the headlights are turned on? If it can't be done through the data link, could it be accomplished with a 12volt signal sent to an input?

That would be great so you wouldn't have to adjust the brightness every time it gets dark out..
