"unable to get Calibration id TCM" on Hemi Ram
Okay....got the Diablo. Uninstalled my SC. Went to install the Diablo and had to get the calibration update. So I installed the DSDownloader and drivers needed. Did the calibration update. Then did the latest update v.9r08 while I was at it. Went to put it on the truck and "unable to get calibration id TCM" popped up. Can't do anything with it. Not real thrilled. I was looking forward to an upgrade in tuner.....but......hope I can get this taken care of easily.
I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi.
U7137 Diablo
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I just got home from work. I did what you said and it won't show a calid. It just goes straight to the message, "can not get calibration id TCM. Make sure key is ON but do not start vehicle." Then it tries that 3 times and says to unplug tuner and try again. Then it just does the same thing.
My VIN is 1D7HU18D255363244
Thanks!

Okay....so I talked to the tech support there, and they said there is a connectivity issue with my truck for some reason? Which, someone explain to me how it connected to my truck and told me I needed the Calibration update for this vehicle fine, but after the update now it has a connectivity issue, and I am going to have to pay $100 to get it fixed? Seems odd to me. Maybe I don't understand the "connectivity" thing.

No, nobody said anything about you havng to pay for anything....
Give us some time to look into this please. If there is an issue with the tool, it is under warranty.

Well, I am sure the tech told me I would have to pay up to $99.95 depending on what needed fixed since I bought it from a guy that bought it 5 months ago. But, he might have just thought that due to second owner. I don't know if that pertains to a software issue necessarily. I am not upset, just want a good tuner regardless. Thanks for looking into this for me. Hopefully we can get this solved without too much trouble. I guess my hang up was, "why pay $100 when it would be under warranty to just send it back to the original owner and he could have it fixed for free?" If I can get it reprogrammed or whatever it needs no charge, then no worries, and no huge rush as far as I am concerned. I am just pleading to get this fixed for me.....I MISS HAVING A TUNER!!!! LOL. It is addicting and now that I don't have one, I am itching to get it back...
Thanks again!

OK, if it was bought used, and there is a problem with the tool, it is not under warranty.

Okay.....wonderful.....so what do I need to do to get this thing fixed? Going on the second week now, just getting more frustrated the more I read about how many other people had the same issues even with their brand new ones. Actually, it has been two weeks, with no progress. So can't wait to pay to get this one fixed. Should I just call the RMA line and get this settled?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Still totally clueless how warranties void when there is a change of hands, even though it is an issue with YOUR software, but whatever. Just another great example of a company not backing up their product in this country. Sorry for the frustration, but again.....it has been two weeks with NO answer as to what I am supposed to do with this $400 tuner that is as good as in the trash at this point. Surely you would get it if it were you. Now I am just worried that if I send it in it will be another few months to even get it back if this is how the process moves.
