Does the Predator need to be activated online?

I bought a Predator 3 years ago from SLP under the assumption that all I had to do was plug it in and follow the instructions. I recently had 4.11 gears installed in my Camaro and tried to modify the program, the Predator says the program was installed, however my speedometer is still off. When I got on your site and tried to register the product it asked for a serial number, which my product does not have. Please educate me in the ABC's of what other equipment that is needed to use your product. Iam computer ignorant so small words please.

You do not need to register the tool for it to work.

When you go to modify tune, and select the gear ratio parameter, once it is set to 4.11 press escape until the tool asks if you want to install the modified tune, and choose yes.

I followed the direction in the manual and the different ways that it shows to modify the program, however my speedometer is still off. I even jacked the car up to count driveshaft turns to a tire turn thinking I got screwed by the shop that installed the rearend. Is there a repair station I can send this unit to for dianostics? And what equipment do I need to interface with this product and my laptop for online updates? Is live data logging in the works for your future products?
