What do I need to do to update my programer from v2.02 to the latest?

It would need to come back here for the $99 hardware upgrade, that older tool is not internet updateable.

After the update, I'll be able to update via internet then, correct! Will you add a USB port in place of the serial? What exactly are the upgrades added and the benefits and what will I loose?

Yes, once you get it back, you can update the tool over the internet.
Only feature you will lose is EGR disable.
No USB, it is still serial, just use a USB to serial cable.
