factory tune will allow you to make adjustments to your factory/original/oem/original backup tune that was in the car and install it.

Performance tune is the canned performance tune from Diablosport.

If you modify the factory tune do you then no longer have the original factory tune to restore or does the predator somehow preserve the first? I have saved the original back-up to my computer and modified the factory tune in my car. If I were to lose my hard drive on my PC - I would no longer be able to go back to square one?

The original backup and the factory tune are different. You will not be modifying your stock tune and you will be able to restore it without having to use your PC.

well, in response to Christina... if this is the first time they are using the Predator, and they go to modify the Factory HP Tune instead of installing a Performance Tune, then YES - it WILL be changing their original/oem/original tune that is in the car. but correct, it won't change the backup that it creates/saves.

However, if you have already installed a tune in your car, and you choose to modify the Factory HP Tune, this will modify whatever that tune is currently in your car/pcm at the time.

so, the Factory HP Tune applies to whatever tune is currently in your car.

if you have 93 octane gas in your car, go ahead and install the Diablo/Performance Tune.

after the tune is installed, yes, go by my sticky and get some numbers, and we'll get you fine-tuned and rippin' up asphalt!!

so I should use the factory tune if Im using 89 gas because I live is Los Angles, and I don't believe we have 93 octane out here, I just seen 91 octane that's about it.

what tune options do you have in your predator??

just performance tune and factory hp tune? or do you have 91 octane tune, 87 octane tune, etc etc.

if you just have performance tune and factory tune, you can use the performance tune and run 91 octane gas in your car, you'll be fine.
