2008 F-250 Diesel Fuel Economy

I am just trying to find out if anyone has a good tune to save on fuel in my 2008 Ford F-250 Diesel. Was hoping that now it has been out for a while somebody has come up with a good fuel economy tune. I have tried each of the standard tunes for quite a while and can't seem to get any improvement on MPG... I'm stuck at 12.2 which is actually a little worse than not even installing a tune! Please help.

Is that calculating it manually?

No, visible on the dash.

I have tried resetting it, it always ends up around the same.

Ok, also one more question. Is it possible to damage my vehicle using the performance tune or is it only the extreme tune that I need to monitor with gauges?

If you beat the crap out of it constantly, yeah, the perf tune will cause issues, but if driven sanely, you'll be fine.
