I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer SS and the 7191 Tool. Should I just use the Diablo 93 octane tune, or are guys making any changes having the K&N Aircharger on the truck. The K&N gives significant increased airflow and from what I hear can skew the tuning a little. Im here in Florida, so anything else to beat the heat would help too.
Thanks,
Eric
Any adjustments needed with K&N Aircharger?

install the Diablo Tune, then drive for about 30 miles to let the tune changes settle in, then read this to do some logs and see where your numbers are at, and start making fueling adjustments...

Thanks Monte,
I'm really asking Diablo Tech Support if they recommend changing any parameters before I start logging and dialing in the fuel.
I have followed your sticky on this before, with great results. Good write up!
I had someone dyno tune my vehicle, using the predator, and they insisted I needed the 91 octane tune, then changed a bunch of settings in the predator from the factory. After all was said and done, I was not real thrilled with this guy and how much HP I obtained. Now Im thinking I will just do it myself, but wanted to know if there is any settings off the bat to change to compensate for the K&N Aircharger.
Any info from tech support would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

you had great results, and you wanna doubt me now??
the K&N may make you run a little leaner, but by how much - we can't tell without some logs. making blind adjustments beforehand can make you too rich, and then you'd be doing logs and re-adjusting anyway.
should also do the logs to see where the numbers are at anyway after what that guy did to change things.
need logs to see what needs to be adjusted and where.

There are no specific changes that you can make for any specific part.
Like MonteSS said, before you make any changes you should log and make changes based on the info in the logs.
Thanks
