Modified Stock Tune with Advanced Features

Post by craig10 »

Johan / Mike,

Attached is my original backup and the last tune written, which is a modified stock tune with no parameters changed.

Please use these to send me a tune with both improved WOT shifts and virtually eliminated torque management.

I would like to at least be able to benefit from these two changes, without a power increase, until the knock issues are resolved with the canned tunes.

I do not think that is too much to ask since I have basically had a $300 code reader since last November.

Thanks in advance.
Craig

I updated to the new 9t09d crom and tuned the 87 perf to my truck while running 89 octane gas. Unfortunately, I still see the exact same part throttle KR as I have before with the previous croms. So yet again, I am currently running stock power.

That being said, I am still waiting for a modified stock tune with the better WOT shifts and TM gone.

I have attached my original and last tune written again since my predator is now running the 9t09d crom (not sure if I needed to do this or not).

Mike / Johan - please at least acknowledge my request and possibly throw out a date when you think it can be fullfiled. Thanks.

I'll see what we can do....Johan is really backup up working on these updates right now.

FWIW, he has sent this same tune that is in 9t09d to lots of people who have said the reduction in TM was awesome, and that the part throttle KR was gone.

Can you get a log for us?

Mike, I noticed when I downloaded the 9t09d crom that actual file name was u7137_9t09d_182 (this is what is currently on my predator). The one you attached above is u7137_9t09d_876. In another post it is U7137_9t09d_114.

Are these all identical croms? If not, what are the differences? Also, in my experience with the 9t09d_182, TM seems the same as before.

All the same crom.

This is the last reply I got from a customer I sent one of these new tunes to:

Nice, I was able for the first time to power brake the truck and make the tires spin. Definitely has more off the line pick up.

i tried 9t09d and i am still see some knock. Here was a short log/run when i went to store. Looking over the short logs and random pids (just started logging at long stop light). i noticed that there is no LT KNK but still plenty of ST KNK. I didnt get a chance to try 9t09e i will try tomorrow and take some decent logs. The tune does feel much better than others with more TM removed. If there is still knock on 9to9e i will want a stock tune with TM removed and whatever else possible without creating knock.

Well, updated to the 9t09e tune and it's the same problems for me.

Attached is a log with this tune and I am now getting up to 5 degrees of LT KR and 7.5 degrees of ST KR under part throttle acceleration.

Once again I have attached my original and a modified stock tune, now under 9t09e. Please send me a tune with stock power settings but with improved shifts and eliminated TM.

Over the past few months I have spent too many hours trying numerous different tunes, updates, settings, and data logging to be stuck in the same boat as I started.

I feel that I am at least owed my simple request. Send me a tune with stock power settings but with improved shifts and eliminated TM.

Hmm, the other guys with the same tunes have not reported this with the new rev.
The attached file here has stock timing with all other performance mods done.

You guys are checking what the knock is doing on the stock tune configurations right?
