u7137 2007 dodge ram 1500 sport 5.7 hemi K&N, flowmaster 40, predator
i have been having an issue with part throttle KR, it occurs mostly at highway speeds when depressing the accelerator to about 50% or more, just before it would shift down a gear. it seems to happen the most going up hill. i have tried everything to get rid of this, i am running modified stock tune (only to turn off MDS) with 91 gas (91 seems to help a little but it occurs no matter the gas)
ive attached a log of coming home from work today, when pressing the gas more than 50% but not enough for a down shift it cause ST and LT KR... when i gave it more gas and caused a downshift it seemed to clear up.
aroun 17:00 and 17:15 show some of it (but at 17:52... wtf is that?? a random .5 st kr, i noticed them in other spots too 17:59 is even worse!!) im getting KR without even depressing the gas!
something is obviously wrong here i just dont know where to start, can someone please help me??

RE: part throttle KR
ok, i will do that and let you know how it goes
thank you for your quick response!

ok updated the crom, went out on a stock run (only mds off) then installed the 91 tune (mds off and +20% throttle sens) still getting spark knock under heavy load right before it would downshift about 50%+ throttle (on the plus side i didnt get any LT knock this time)
could spark plugs cause this problem? im overdue for my spark plugs? (says to do it at 30k, im at 43k)

The ST knock you had there is really not that bad, less than what you had with the stock tune, you will ALWAYS have ST knock in these vehicles(unless you reduce the knock sensors quite a bit) especially tip in, you can tune around it but then you will most likely get very poor mileage due to the open loop thresholds being set so low and you would loose quite a bit of performance as timing had to be less than stock.
Just my two cents on that...
