Torque Management Parameters - U7193

Post by jmulvihill »

A few more questions :

I am trying to get rid of the hesitation I have at the low end (from a stand still to on throttle). In reading the other threads in the forum on this topic, it seems as if some TM adjustments may help.

In the TM adjustment section, I have 3 options on the U7193 in this order:

TM Abuse Mode Time : Off/On/No Change
% Torque Reduction vs RPM : Off/On/No Change
Upshift Torque Reduction : Off/On/No Change

Which of these parameters should I change to see if it helps? I have the Diablo Performance tune loaded, and am assuming all of these are set to "On", but please confirm.

In the "GM Predator Paramaters Explained" doc, it states that changing TM parameters for trucks and SUVs will change the shift feel, and is not recommended. I have a 2004 SSR with the 4 speed auto trans; is this considered a truck for this consideration?

Thanks! I am really enjoying the performance with the new tuner except for this low end lag. If I get it tackled, I will be sooo pleased!

Thanks again!

Turn the first two off, leave the third on.
