This would cost much more than $99, think along the lines of the cost of a Predator minus the plastic case and the cable.

You are not the first person to run into this, yet you are the only one that feels you were somehow wronged for buying a product that does everything it was advertised to do at the time of purchase.
I call BS! If the Predator is costing your company $99 per unit you need to find some new suppliers since you make those things in house....LOL

That's obscene, really. I'd say somewhere along $63 per unit including production and development would be more like it, not more than $99 you claim. But then again, who am I, just some random forum poster, but then again, who are you, just some Tech Support Manager, how would you know the true cost of that unit? A smart owner would never share that information with middle to low manager and only a select few of upper executive types would need to know. But then again, who are the owners really?....Yeah yeah, I know the bio so save it!

Cheers ole chaps!

Upper executive types huh?

LOL, how big do you really think this company is?

I have daily interactions with both owners directly, and everyone has a hand in every aspect of making this company a success.

I dont understand why you question who the owners are though, or how that is even relative to this conversation??

Mike, and Lew, you guys do a great job, as well as the company itself. It always amazes me when "arm chair" consumers believe they know how much it costs to develop and build products. Or even have an idea the difficulties in updating a tool for later model cars.

The big question here is; Ed can afford a 2010 Vette, but can't afford to buy another tuner for $300 bucks?

Oh the humanity.....

Exactly...... this is the most insane post ive read here. He could just sell the current one on ebay and get the new one. Or lay off the gas pedal for a month and buy it.

Im planning on buying a 2015 vette.....my 04 express van tuner better work with it when it arrives

"arm chair" ? hardly and yes, most are amazed to find out how much a device actually costs per unit after the fat lady sings. i won't take the time to educate you here as it's not responsibility to educate you of manufacturing, R/D, etc.

but i will attempt to point you in the right direction, try doing a search of something called the iPhone. do some research on manufacturing costs, R/D, etc then let's see who's not the "arm chair"
