What predator is right for my 2010 challenger 5.7/6spd? is there an advantage to go to the trinity?mikel wrote:There is no sales gimmick[email protected] wrote:I think it's a sales gimmick when it comes to the skip shift subject. I searched many areas in all the menu's and it's just not listed. the manual (Mopar') say's the solenoid prevents the shift for 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd when certian criteria is met (rpm's, engine temp, and vehicle speed) it's odd everbody has the same problem with just the 1st to 2nd shift. When I shift from 1st to 2nd and don't use the clutch, I don't encounter the problem. (if ya wait for the R's to drop, there's no problem)
We can disable skip shift in any tune.
Some certain calids did not disable it like all others, and we have since created custom tunes to fix this for those with that calid, and we will be adding the new fixed tunes to the next update.
It is not in the menu of the Predator as it is not an option, kip shift is disabled as part of the tune.

I have a 2010 Challenger SRT8 with 6 speed manual and I hate that rediculas skip-shift feature.
When I load any of the canned tunes with the Predator the skip-shift feature is disabled. Viola!
Software version I currently use is V. 9r25
2010 Challenger SRT8 - Plum Crazy!!
Mopar CAI
Mopar performance exhaust
Diablo Catch-can
And an ear-to-ear grin every time I drive it!!

I just updated my tool to what looks like the latest update "9r27" I'm gonna install it tomorrow I hope it cures this skip shift issue. I just hate that little man jumping up in that shift gate to prevent the first to second shift. It just seems odd, that that little man doesn't wanna stop the second to third shift. Hmmmm that solenoid is suppose to operate both the 1st to 2nd shift and 2nd to 3rd????
I'll inform the forum in a couple days if I'm happy so all others with this issue could join in

I hate the Skip Shift so much... I use both the Cable Skip Shift Eliminator and the Diablo U7135 canned tune (current V. 9r25)... That way when I have a trip to my dealer (Always remove the tune)... I don't have that damn @%#$@ Skip Shift ruining my driving enjoyment ! The cable is "CHEAP" and easy to do... So, do both!

I don't recall how I recieved "9r23" version? I found it when I tried to download the origional (9r21) Well I downloaded the "9r23" and flashed my 09 Classic R/T took it for a spin maybe about 20 minutes. It appears the tool put that little man that jumps into the gate was put down for the count. I hope I didn't jinx myself with this post. if all is well in about a week or so I'll post the results.
I see on the support page in the download update section, various changes of each revision. A group is missing or deleted up to the "9r27" anybody know where that missing group is for a reviewing???? I'm curious on what is said to that one?

I tried the latest "9r27.crom" before and when I tried to flash my vehicle it was unable to continue because it needed to be updated. That's why I downloaded the "9r23.crom". Well, I tried to update the tool again with the "9r27.crom", went through the motions again to flash my vehicle and again I got the message of unable to continue I need to update. I then went to my computer to download my orginal "9r21.crom" and when the downloader program recognized the tool the tab for"UPDATE CALIBRATION" appeared.
When I downloaded the "9r23.crom" the update calibration proceeded automatically
After the update of calibration completed and was notified it was successful, I then flashed my 09 Challenger Classic R/T. I drove it and I used every opportunity to shift from first to second. Now it seems that the latest update CLEANED that little mans clock He's not gonna jump up in the shift gate any more.
I also noticed with this latest update a few of the display menus have changed, like the rev limiter. There's two parameters one for neutral and one for in drive (gear) Before it was just rev limiter.
I must say my confidence has been restored with my diablosport and very happy I made the choice of the purchase. I'm compelled to eat my words, of the "disabling the skip shift is a sales gimmick" - NO IT's NOT

Skip Shift (U7135) 9r27.crom-2009 Challenger "Classic R
It's been well over a month, in testing for the "Skip Shift" issue using the latest download "9r27.crom" I must say that this issue is finally put to bed. I'm absolutely pleased. Especially with the performance over stock. I now get a screeching from the tires when I just mash down on the pedal in first until I shift to 2nd, this never happened in stock form. (now I need tires from testing too much)
All other features still work, horn cruise control, A/C etc.
For all you other bloke's that had the same issue I had with eairler versions.............download the latest and greatest. You'll be glad you did.
