How much knock is acceptable?
I ran a WOT datalog today and found up to 3.5. in a couple of spots, but only at a certain RPM range and when I believe I had wheelspin going on.
I'm pretty sure that my motor experienced this when I had alot of wheelspin. At least that is what it looks like from my log and when I remember driving it. prolly hit when the wheels hooked up and the RPM's shot down.
I have read something hinting that when your car experiences alot of wheelspin you could get some knock. If this is true & why?
Now what can I do to counter act this?
My KNK LT was 0 at least.
I can post up a couple of my logs if I need to and can figure it out. Wouldn't mind getting some opinions about it.

RE: knock questions?
it only did it once and as I said it was right about the time the wheels hooked up from spinning. Am i wrong to assume that the wheels hooking up from spinning caused this. normal driving no knock at all, even nice roll into the throttle no knock? Only happens when I am really on it driving her very hard.

Al, when my ST Kr went to 4 deg.temporarily, I was driving her hard and shifting from 4th to 5th at a high speed. I really can't tell you about spinning the tires (I'm too cheap to replace them prematurely) but it does make sense to me.
Once you go BLACK.....
RE: knock questions?
What I'm wondering is what is difference between STK and LTK. if you have 4.0 stk for over 500 rpm and no LTK is this ok or do I need to change something? Is LTK just a bunch of STK and when do I need to be concered about knock?

I try to tune avoiding knock retard. No knock retard = no overshoot when the sensors pickup knock. False knock will throw this out the window if you are experiencing false knock. If you see knock in a small area remove the amount of timing you are seeing as retard from the knock sensors in those cells. If you still see the same knock retard with the timing removed then you have to dumb out the sensors in those corresponding cells and replace the timing you have removed in the spark table. If you are not confident in this procedure or don't understand it then by all means don't attempt it.
NOTE: false knock is typically experienced in the upper RPMs.
