you CANNOT do that, when you erase codes, you reset ALL of the emissions monitors
99% sure that 2098/96 code is not tune related, its an exhaust leak
Not always true. Hi-flow cats will most always cause a 2098/2096 in Hemi's, even without an exhaust leak.

I know if for a FACT I do not have an exhaust leak on my car. If I turn on my rear O2's after a day or two I'll throw a code. It just happens with our cars. You physiacally can do that I've done it. I didn't say it will get rid of the code permanently, I was just throwing out something for a guy to just pass inspection I did not state or even try to state it was a permanent fix. Are you stating that you have Hi-flows and no codes at all?

As stated below all I'm trying to do is get a guy to pass inspection. Fact of the matter is, don't change your exhaust and you won't have to worry about it. or go with shorties, I don't know of anyone whom hasn't gotten a code thrown, from going to LT's with Hi-flow cats, that didn't eventually turn them off.

It's worth it to try to pass some inspection. IS It not?

exactly, thanks oilslick.

If diablo could crack the code on this it would be so much better for everyone.

Sorry. I should have been more clear...we're talking about cars, not trucks in this thread.

I was originally able to run long tubes and high flow cats with no codes. For whatever reason after 7 different exhausts, something got screwed up and it wouldn't run codeless anymore. The sensors had to be turned off. It will still run codeless with the non-foulers installed. Can't leave them in full time though. The flow blows the steel wool right out of them. They go in a day before inspection so the sensors get "Ready", and they get removed right after.

I'm pretty anal when it comes to my exhaust sound. Not too loud, not too quiet, a certain note. I've always been this way. I tried 3 on my Bimmer, 6 on my GTP, 4 on my T/A, 3 on my Camaro.

when I put my longtubes and hi flow cat I used the non fouler trick to get rid of my o2 codes. works great if you stuff them with steel wool

How are you guys turning off the secondary O2 sensors? I have a 7137 for my 2010 Ram and I have not seen this option in the predator at all. I want to run a set of headers with hi flow cats and do not want to deal with the CEL.

Thanks,

I had the secondary O2's turned off yesterday. But when I monitor them with PCMSCAN I still see them working and giving feedback to the PCM. Does "turning them off" only mean setting the PCM to ignore the readings from the secondary O2's?

So now if I unplug the secondary O2's, since they have been turned off, I will not get a CEL right?

Right, they are being ignored more or less, but they still function.
