FRRP cai with Steeda tune

Hello:

Sorry if this has been asked before I'm new to the mustang world and tuners. the engine was all stock, I have the diablosport and had been using 91 performance tune with no issues. Today, I installed a Ford Racing CAI, and loaded the steeda cai tune, and now I'm getting p0172 rich bank 1. Can someone offer me suggestions on what to do to resolve the check engine light and stop it from throwing the code? Thanks. I guess I just need to figure out what tune to use best with the ford intake and I just assumed the steeda tune would be best. it's a 2006 gt

Which FRPP intake? The bullitt one or the FRPP/Steeda one?

it's the Bullitt one. I bought a mafia cable, I knew from what I read that I wouldn't benefit from it but for the $ 40.00 it was worth the price. Anyway, I plugged it in and just left it at zero, and it's no longer throwing the code. Should I just leave it as is then? From my understanding leaving the MAFia cable at zero leaves it stock/no change.

On setting 0 is is not doing anything at all, you really don't need a MAFia until you are maxing out the range of the stock MAF.

thanks for your help, but you're really not telling me anything I don't already know. If you read my previous post, you will see I completely agree. However, as I explained, after installing the intake, I kept getting p0172, cleared trouble codes and it would come back again. And just as an experiment, I plugged in the MAFia set at zero and it no longer throws the code. I drove it all day sunday and last night, no trouble codes found. So I'm just going to leave it plugged in since it mysteriously resolved the issue, unless someone can offer up another possible solution. thanks again

yeah, the Mafia is a bad isea, need to figure out why you are getting a rich code with the CAI, do you have the correct tune installed?

I don't have the right tune. I have a U8000 with the 87, 91, 93 octane tunes with additional steeda tunes, JLT tune, K&N etc. but nothing for the specific intake. I talked with Steeda in Milton he said they used to make the CAI for Ford so I assumed their Steeda tune would be the best match but it was the tune throwing the code. I tried other CAI tunes but the Steeda tune gave the best performance result.

Why is the Mafia a bad idea if it's set at 0 = stock/no change? Interesting...

So what should I do? Obviously I need a FRRP CAI tune, but there isn't one on the tuner.
