I wanted to ask what my options are and I'll hopefully give all the info.
06 Mustang Gt auto
I already have a Bullitt CAI and diablosport steeda tune w firm shift
I plan on adding a 62mm BBK tb and steeda tb spacer and slp powerflo axle-back
I already know the tb spacer and the tb isn't going to do much of anything to increase the power on a stock motor. I KNOW THAT ALREADY so I don't need to read comments that tell me this again. I bought the parts at a good price so why not experiment a little...
do I need a custom tune or is it possible I can use the predator and modify perameters of an existing tune to make all this work? I'm new to all of this so I am just wondering what I should expect. Yes, a custom tune would probably be best but it's not really an option right away so I am hoping someone will tell me what i want to hear haha. i am hoping the tuner will allow me to change whatever is necessary, any thoughts/advice?
thanks again
Richard

RE: Noob Question re: tuning
The TB may well need tuning, and at that point, it becomes cost ineffective IMO....

RE: Noob Question re: tuning
well as I mentioned I'm new to tuners but it seems to me that you can't tune much of anything. You can install somebody else's tune, just not the tune that's right for your vehicle? I didn't think a FRRP CAI was that strange of a addon, considering it is a Ford part, you would think that tune would be readily available before the likes of K&N for example, just a thought.
I don't consider changing rev limiter and cooling fan on/off temps to be tuning a vehicle. Don't get me wrong I like the diablosport tool, but in my opinion it shouldn't be that difficult to add a cold air, throttle body, and spacer and not be able to use the tuner to make the engine and addons work better together without taking it to a dynoshop. It's not like it's a major reconfiguration we're talking about.
Is there a Bullit Cai tune that is available that isn't on the tuner? I'm pretty sure the version on the tuner ends in 03, but I'd have to hook it up to be sure of the full name. If I don't have to use the mafia cable that would be good, but it works fine with it on and no issues or codes
