Saving Stock tune to Send to custom tuner
I was just wondering if I have to set the truck back to the stock programming to save it to the diablo and then e-mail to diablosport to have a custom tune done? I just installed the performance tune and not sure whether to switch it back to stock and then save it or if there is a way to save the stock tune while leaving the performance tune loaded while I wait to recieve the custom tune. Thanks for the great performance.

You'll need a backup in the Predator to save it to the PC, so you'll need to have a tune installed from the Predator on the PCM.
Why did you need a custom tune?
Thanks

RE: Saving Stock tune to Send to custom tuner
I was asking johan about setting the parameters since I've never done it before and he said if I e-mail him the stock tune he could do a custom tune for me. On fullsizechevy.com a guy posted instructions to load the tune on the computer. He said to
"Note: Before uploading the tune to PC the following step must be done.
1) With the DiabloSport tune installed in the vehicle, select "Tune It".
2) Select "Troubleshooting" and then select "Save current Data" the Predator will now save the tune that is in the vehicle.
(Note: If no tune is installed it will read original factory tune)"
That is why I was asking if I can just save the tune like he says, or set it back to stock(factory) tune. Hope I am explaining this adequately, because you said I need to have a tune installed from the Predator on the PCM, and I have the Performance tune installed right now.

Yeah, you can save the tune right now from the Predator, as the backup is in the Predator.
There's no need to go through the Save current data option.
With the Predator hooked to the PC select options/custom tune/export tune.
Leave export tune highlighted and use the 'get tune file from Predator' button on the PC interface.
Then press enter on the Predator and choose export original backup.
The file will now be saved to the PC.
Thanks

That didn't work because I didn't have custom tune or export tune under my options. However, I downloaded the instructions and got it loaded. Thanks for all the help. I'll definately be talking you up to all the guys on the fullsizechevy.com forums. This is the best customer service I've ever had for any product purchased. Thanks again.
