u7137 PCM error unlock for reflash <-1>, 2007 Jeep Wr

Post by Hwy2hell »

I keep getting a "calibration failure" more info reads=PCM error unlock for reflash <-1>, I have the 7137 model for my Jeep wrangler 2007, the version is up to date, v.9r07, "show last tune written" reads=Original Backup. when I open up my dsdownloader program it keeps saying I need a calibration update, but I updated it around 6 times already, looks like its not being saved on the tool maybe? I press "performance Tune after updting it also, as instructed, the car alarm has been disconnected, tried again still don't work...

So, you get that error when you try to load the calibration update to the vehicle?

as long as you're within the 2 year warranty period from when you bought it new, no - you will not be charged... you will need to provide proof of purchase by providing a copy of your receipt....

if you bought it used, or longer than 2 years ago, then there will be a nominal charge....

but, if you bought it brand new, I would check with the vendor you purchased it from, tell them that diablo told you it was a defective tool and to get it swapped out for a new one... and see if they'll just exchange it for you. that way, you don't have to worry about shipping it in and such...

I have something of a variant on this issue with my dodge durango -07 hemi 5.7l..

1. Connected to the vehicle, got a message to update.
2. Connected to pc, ran DSD and upgraded (it now says 9r07)
3. Connected to car, uploaded Perf 93oct-tune, everything went fine.

I'm somewhat not satisfied with the shiftpoints etc. so I wanted to revert to original

4. I Connect the tool to the vehicle, trying to upload the original backup fails with the "PCM: error unlock for reflash(-1)" message.

I've tried to upload other tunes (Modified factory and 91oct) with the same results.

DSD is happy with my tool...

I feel a bit stuck here... any ideas?

OK so trying not to get upset after being on hold for 1.5 hrs, I am in the same boat with the same checks, troubleshooting, uploading and same error code. Does this mean mine is defective also (disappointing considering I just bought it two days ago). How do I obtain an RMA? How long am I looking at before I see my predator back? Thanks

Yes first thing I checked, then I bought the USB cable and adapter (which should've came with it for the price I paid) and did the calibration part on my laptop. It downloaded and untapped just fine on the predator. Then I retried the upload on my truck and that error code popped up.

OK, so dumb ass me, I probably would've gotten thru faster had I read the hours for the East Coast, but needless to say I called during the normal hours and I was helped completely until I was satisfied. It was user error and lack of patience. It loaded just fine so tomorrow we shall see if it actually works. Thanks guys. :punisher:
