idle issues on the u7131 in cold weather?

Post by prl »

when is there going to be a fix to this problem on the u7131 programmer. I have downloaded the newest rev. and am thinking of buying something else that i can use all year round. I have a 2007 dodge 3500 mega with the 5.9 deisel. It idles up and down to point where I have to take out AGAIN for colder days. [/b]

It would be nice to get an update on this and possibly a fix. This will be the the third winter that i have had to remove from the truck. Has anyone tried the new live data and found out what is going on?

I have an 06 5.9 that also has a idle issue....mine idles right under 1000rpm....i thought one of the features of this programmer was that you could adjust the idle?... anyone out there know how to make my truck idle smoother and at about 1200 rpms?

When I was in Canada this summer, I ran into a few people with this issue, and they ALL swore to me they were going to get me hours of datalogs so we could look at this until we were blue in the face, LOL!
Problem is, I have gotten none...

Anyone interested, please try logging the idle, especially a cold start, and email them to [email protected]

Thanks
Mike

Mike,

If you can train me up with how to do this for dummies, I will volunteer to gather up some data for you. Can you please PM me directly and I will get you my info, like cell number so you can help me do this. I will install whatever program you want to gather the data starting after the new year.
