2011 sierra 6.2 6spd U7194 TROUBLE

Traded in my 07 max for a 11 sierra 6.2 6spd.
I returned the max to original before I traded it.
I downloaded rev 19 to computer then transferred to predator, computer said transfer complete.
I looked at my predator and the screen said installing boot loader or loading boot loader either way it was froze there after about 5 mins I cycled the power off.
when it rebooted it said the application is missing or corrupt.
I tried a couple more times with the same results so I loaded rev 18
The downloader said download complete but the predator was froze on the bootloader thing.
I disconnected from the computer and then reconnected now the computer can't find the predator and the predator won't reboot it says the application is missing or corrupt.
HELP

when did you buy the predator new?? what revision was on it originally?

sounds like it's the older version of it that can not accept/use the newer, bigger crom revision update files...

I bought the predator new in 07 back when tcm support was only a couple weeks away. I believe it came with 8r07, and i've put just about every update that came out in it. Even the one that bricked my computer when they took out support for the 6.0 max. I believe I had 9R18 loaded before I tried to load 9t19. The only thing I can think of on my end is that I may have started the transfer from the ds downloader before the predator was fully booted after the power cycle. I was pretty excited about the new truck.

first off, there's no "victim" here... and it is not a "new" predator... it's 3-4 years old.... and the predator warranty is for 2 years...

and just like a computer, man... hardware/memory/storage requirements were a lot different 3-4 years ago than they are today...

just like if you bought a "new" Dell or Hewlett Packard PC 4 years ago, and the manufacturer said it could play all the latest 3D games... and now 4 years later, the 3D games require so much more processing power - memory - and storage space, that your 4 year old computer really CAN'T play all the "lastest" 3D games... so if you want to play those games, you need to buy their new model PC... right??

Dell still has the same Inspiron systems they sold 4 years ago, yet the NEW ones have different/new hardware configurations inside them...

you think they'll give you a new computer system??? heh, good luck with that... No - you want to be able to play the latest and greatest games, then you need to buy their NEW updated PC's that support the newest software programming out there...

If you are guessing how do we find out for sure?

If we find out thats the problem how do we go about restoring it so it can be used on another vehicle?

what does the tool display now?

If you got 9r18 to load to it, it will take the latest updates.

Well like mike said. It it loads 9r18 then it will work with 2011. But in my case and alot of other cases that aint come out yet ours wont go past 9r08. So that means the 7194 will not work for 2011. But it dont say that in the site when u buy a used one.

Looking back at my crom files in my laptop it looks like 9t07d was the last crom file loaded on my predator.
oct 28 07 was when I started downloading everything for the predator so thats when it was purchased.
When I get home tonight i'll try reinstalling 9t07d.
If I give you the serial # will you be able to tell if its the later version?
Sorry I forgot to answer your question it says application missing or corrupt.

I can tell ya right now, that it is not the newer version of the tool... since those didn't start coming out until June of 2008, and were on a 9rxx revision from the start...

you bought yours back in 2007... and it was on an older 8r07 revision...

that predator you have, is the older/previous version of the tool and it will not take the new crom revision update file you need it to for 2011 support...

the highest revision that tool can handle and go up to is 9r08 or 9r10....

no.. there is no upgrade for the 7194's...

that upgrade program is for old class 2 tools for 1998-2006 vehicles... to update them to be able to data log and do internet downloadable updates...

you can trade it in towards the purchase of a trinity tho....
