AEM UEGO Wide Band/Trinity for logging

Okay I read all the threads here and am still confused on how to get the trinity to read A/F from my wideband.. I have the head phone jack thingy that I bought form a vendor who say it the tool that is need to hook the Uego up to the trinity. He said it was one that he got and was selling from Diablo. Anyway there are 4 wires coming from it, I have no idea what is what and what goes where. I know the white wire from the AEM is the 0-5v analog output. Can anyone help me with this as far as wiring and what setting should I be using for low (0v) and high (5v)

Then use Option->Analog Configuration->Add a New Parameter. Specify which analog input your using and scale.

Maybe im wrong but i didnt see anything referrign to the AEM gauge it talks mainly about the LC1

Trinity supports any 0-5v analog sensor. Looking at the wiring diagram pg 4; Appears the UEGO White wire should connect with either analog 1 or 2 input of Trinity. UEGO Serial output is not used.

Cool beans should i use the same upper and lower parameters as used with the LC 1. Also if i get the up and running what do i do withthe other 3 wires that came with the jack? Do i just tape them off as so they do not make any electrical contact?

Or do i use thsi from page 12 of the manual (Measuring Range: Sweeping LED 0.751 to 1.143 Lambda) meaning 0.751 would be the low parameter and 1.1143 be the high parameter.

The way I interpret calibration table 2; Trinity 0v == 10.0 AFR, 5v == 20.0 AFR. (Or, make 4.99 == 19.98 AFR).

Connect Black/Green together to ground. Tape up the other loose Analog input.

So i have to ground the black and green,( any grounding recoomendation.. i have my A/f gauge in a pillar pod. cool is there a preference when using analog 1 or 2 or is the additonal analog wire there to add future components

you remember where you grounded your UEGO? most ppl recommend you ground the headphone jack to the same place.

OK, sorry but none of this is making since to me. I have a the AEM UEGO wideband as well, with one each red, black, blue, and white cables. I also have the audio jack cable with 3 exposed wires, one is thicker than the rest with black shielding and the other two are the same gauge. One is red and one is also black.

Which of these would I splice to the the White cable from the AEM? Which of the black cables is the ground?

Where did you get the plug? Can you take a picture? If I had to hazard a guess I would say the red wire is what you want to connect to your white wire from the UEGO. Black is almost always ground, are you sure they are both black?

Most likely shield is common ground (SHAFT) and other two wires are TIP and RING. Use a Ohm meter or continuity tester to verify.

Where did you get the plug? Can you take a picture? If I had to hazard a guess I would say the red wire is what you want to connect to your white wire from the UEGO. Black is almost always ground, are you sure they are both black?

I decided to go trial an error with it. I got the cable from a post a few blocks up here is the link again. http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... CP-2204-ND I soldered the white wire to the small black wire on the audio cable which turned out to be Analog 2. My guess is the big black one was ground and the red one Analog 1.
