I own a 2007 Silverado NBS with the 5.3L FlexFuel engine and I am sort of disappointed by the lack of power when I get on it from a stop.
I read somewhere that the issue is a power enhancement delay. I've read a little bit about PE in this forum and elsewhere on the net but I don't know much about it. I'd like to learn more about this and ultimately get rid of the delay this truck has. From what I've read here I take it the Predator can handle this kind of tuning.
I also read somewhere that with a PE adjustment the tranny has to be tuned to lock up the torque converter. Thanks in advance for any info you guys can provide.
EDIT: Maybe the Predator can't do what I want but one of the Diablo Sport products.

the 4 seconds it takes to take off, called torque management, not being able to spin the tires, get the diablo it helps alot doesnt take it all away, but i was happy after i installed it on my 6.0 nbs,way faster ,more power and no more 92 mph shut off...there are no adjustments for the tm or the tranny yet but the upgrade is supposed to come out soon!!!!

I can say that the delay is not totally gone with my 5.3l (I don't have flex fuel...but I do have one of the new AFM motors). Freddy is right...there is no Tranny control yet (TCM support)...The predator is the only handheld tuner that I know of that lets you adjust fuel and timing...being able to fine tune these has, for me, out weighed the lack of TCM support. I am coming from a Superchips Flashpaq and it does let you play with tranny settings...but it doesn't let you control any engine parameters. So right now, until Diablosport get TCM support out...you have to make a compromise with which ever tuner you buy. DS Data Logger software for our trucks is very nice...which for me is huge. I need to know what is going on with my truck and tune it to my comfort level. The Superchips will let you "data log"...but not in the in depth way that Diablo lets you...the SC wouldn't even let you see knock retard. The Superchips is very simple and designed to be that way...you just answer yes or no questions...and is pretty much set up so you could never make a mistake to do major damage. There is potental with the Diablo to damage your truck...but you would have to be a total idiot to make changes to parameters that you did not understand...so in that way...it can be as complex or simple as your level of understanding allows. What I like the most is I can fine tune MY truck not just plug in a "canned" tune and be stuck with what I'm given. I am hopeful that DS will get theTCM support soon...but like I said...the things it does out weight what it doesn't compared directly at least with the Superchips.

Well the Predator looks like the way to go, I guess I'll just wait until that update comes out so I can do all the adjustments.
As far as there still being a slight delay, it has to be better than the delay it currently has. 4 seconds is a long time to wait when you're trying to go.
My GPS showed an 89.9 mph top speed. When I saw that I didn't like that much.

when the update comes out you can download it for free off this website so you dont have to wait and buy the predator when the update is out.

You are correct that what you feel is the PE delay.
We set this delay to 0 effectively disabling it in the tunes, for much better throttle response and power down low.
Thanks
