shift point questions
I'm new at the tuning thing and have a question. I have an 04 f150 and im not sure how to adjust the shift points. I put 35's on it and got the speedometer right but im in 3rd gear too long. when it shifts into 4th its really high on the rpm's and then i have to let off the thottle some to shift into overdrive. any suggestions on how much to tune up or down? Thanks

RE: shift point questions
First thing Id wonder is if the speedo is actually correct.
If so, adjust the WOT shift point down a few hundred RPM and try that.

RE: shift point questions
What's the difference between changing shift points using RPM versus MPH? I'm also new at modding just trying to figure out what some of these parameters do. Thanks!

RE: shift point questions
You have to hit the commanded MPH before it will allow the RPM shift to happen.

so right now even with rev. limit off and shift point (RPM) set at 6000, car shifts around 5600 almost every gear going WOT from a dead or rolling stop. However, if i'm already driving (let's say highway) and go WOT shifts are even lower at about 4k...do I need to change the RPM shift points or the MPH points to fix this?
Really I'm just trying to improve "pass-ability" so reduce that lag from gas --> down shift --> go!
