Predator Serial to serial cable and power cord question

I have a serial to serial cable and i also have a plug in transformer adapter that has a female type plugin on the other end. This is rated as 120input and 12 output, but its 500ma and not the 1amp. Will this still work with the predator? Or do i need to buy one that is rated at 1 amp???

Also how big in diameter does the end have to be. And it is a female end right and it plugs into the predator which has a male end?

Go to Radio Shack and take the prdator with you. They will hook you up with what you need. Thats what I did several years ago. Works on both my predators.
