I'm not clear on what you're unable to download if you already have the DS Downloader 2.2.1.4. Do you mean the update crom file? At what point are you getting the 'Access Denied' message?

RE: Revised Instructions: Predator Update
Its on my predator. When I went to the dealer the other day I put my original tune back on my Challenger. I was running a custom tune. When I got home I went to put the custom tune back on the car and the predator didn't have it saved on it anymore. I went to ds downloader and put the tunes back on the predator so I could put them on the car. They showed being saved on the predator, but when I hooked the predator to the car they were no where to be found. I plug in predator-agree-options-custom tunes-import custom tune. At this point it says that I must go to ds downloader, this option is not allowed, return to main menu. The wording that the predator uses is different, but the meaning is the same. It just won't list the custom tunes.

Re: RE: Revised Instructions: Predator Update
Whenever you use a Trinity or Predator to restore the Original Backup to the vehicle, it will reset itself. This means it will unmarry itself from the vehicle's ECU and erase any custom tunes that are stored in its memory. They need to be saved on your computer's hard drive before you restore the Original Backup, and reloaded after the tool is re-married to the car.onebadsrt wrote:Its on my predator. You can reload them with these instructions:I went to ds downloader and put the tunes back on the predator so I could put them on the car. Do the canned tunes stay on the predator? If you return it back to stock?

Question on order of things
If I have not ever plugged the Predator in to my vehicle, would I be correct to update the Predators "crom" file (if the version shipped to me is not the most current) before restoring any "Original Backup" to my PCM, being that my vehicle is definately stock?
If the answer is yes, then I would effectively skip over step 1 in the PDF file of how to update the Predators "crom" file and go right to step 2- "power up your Predator and connect it to the PC, then download the most current 'crom' file (9r23 for the u7135 or more current) and save it to your Desktop folder."
Step 1 would only be if I have already installed any custom tune onto my PCM. Correct?
Thank you in advance.

RE: can
Just got my predator today and when I plug it in it says my vehicle's calibration is not supported and I need to downgrade it.. I have a new flash from the dealer as of last week. I have the predator with the most recent version 9r07 installed...It wants to downgrade my car one level to calibration 68054120AE. I currently have 68054120AF which is a new flash from dealership as of a couple weeks ago..
will Diablo be coming out with a new revision to make the predator recognize Dodge's new calibration??? I really want to use my new predator but don't feel I should have to downgrade to old Dodge calibration as my factory tune...
