Does anyone know of any mods?
Im trying to get maximum performance out of this thing. I tried changing the axel ration and it was worse. I first went to the minimum, my car acted as tho it was running out of gas. so I pulled over and entered the minimum, the same thing happened so I jus cancelled the modify. Does anyone know of any perfect custom tunes they have done to get the maximun performance out of their 2010 se challenger? thanks in advance.
RE: Does anyone know of any mods?
Why did you change the axle ration. Before you make any changes you need to data log and post it here on the forum and then some one will be able to help you.
RE: Does anyone know of any mods?
You can't change the axle ratio unless you have actually changed the rear end gears. I knew they shouldn't have added this option. Alot of people are screwing with it and don't know why.
Anyway, you're not gonna find much performance out of a 3.5L Challenger. Its not meant to be a performance car. Its meant for people who have no performance desires to cruise around in. Performance is non-existant. Thats what the Hemis are for.

Still don't understand the point of doing anything with it. The money you saved by not getting a Hemi goes to a supercharger, but you still get the other base model stuff. Why bother? Its not like the V6 gets better economy then the 5.7, or handles better, or anything. The R/T seems to be the better starting point then screwing with the 3.5.

Did you by any chance catch trucks on power block this weekend?Mike_Levy wrote:Still don't understand the point of doing anything with it. Ross's RIPP mods vortech'd Jeep JK beat AEVs 5.7 HEMI swap on the dyno, in back to back tests.

Id only assume the car they bought is something the person wanted to buy, Im sure they didnt ask the question to get lectured or criticized on the car they bought. They probably just want it to run better then what it does now. I'm sure they dont expect it to run like the hemi.
seanjohn: For my two cents would just get a cai and a decent exhaust system to start out then posibly mess with the air/fuel mix but until then id say the diablo tune may be your best tune until more mods.

Actually, yeah I did, but they also said the Hemi PCM is locked, which obviously we know it isn't, so I didn't put too much stake in it.mikel wrote:Did you by any chance catch trucks on power block this weekend?Mike_Levy wrote:Still don't understand the point of doing anything with it. Re: RE: Does anyone know of any mods?
LOL, it is....we do not support the AEV swap PCM as it uses some sort of special file that works with a car engine and truck trans, thus it is untuneable as far as we are concerned...Mike_Levy wrote:Actually, yeah I did, but they also said the Hemi PCM is locked, which obviously we know it isn't, so I didn't put too much stake in it.mikel wrote:Did you by any chance catch trucks on power block this weekend?Mike_Levy wrote:Still don't understand the point of doing anything with it. Thats pretty stupid on their part. It limits their customers very badly. No tunes means they can't do any major mods on the motor. How did AJ get around that? He's got a Hemi in his Wrangler, and it sure as hell isn't a stock 5.7.

LOL, AJ, really?
Haha, he has 'capabilities' beyond most out there. He also likely used a truck engine/trans combo to make it easy.

Yeah AJ. He's got a ugly green Unlimited with a 426 in it. Don't know the exact specs, one of the car jockeys was showing it to me one weekend.
He's got a bunch of Hemi vehicles. The Unlimited, the Charger, the Sebring race car, and god knows what else.

Avenger race car....?
Yeah, I was just surprised that you asked how he would have done it. AJ could have made that work before we came along I'd imagine...

Is it an Avenger? I thought it looked like a Sebring. Its just the fiberglass body though. I think its a tube chassis.
