Revision updates

I have a CL7140 and a Mustang v6. I updated the box to rev 38 per the Revisions update document. After I did that I looked at the DS Downloader instructions document and it says to upload the orginal backup first. Which is correct? Do I lose all my orignal tune and custom tunes?

So, you did not reinstall the original backup before updating the tool?
What happens when you tyr to tune the car now?

I did not reinstall the orginal backup. In the Revisions Update document it does not tell you to do that. I haven't tried to retune my car because I'm not sure what will happen.

Please attempt to reload the tune and let me know what happens.

If it will not work, it will give you an error message and we can fix it.

It says need DS downloader rev wrong. custom tune error

I probably didn't give enough info hte last reply:
After it boots up I press performance tune
It says to turn on ignition
Then it says
custom tune problem
DS downloader version 1.7.0.0 or newer is required
Problem: press center key for more info
custom tune error
If you could walk me thru how to fix this please let me know.
