My 2006 F150 with the V6, Manual Trans, Cat Back, K&N w/ Gotts Mod Idles High when I am Coasting down a bridge or to a Stop Light.
The coast idle is about 150 to 200 RPMs higher than I set it at when I have a Modified Stock Tune loaded, but when I load a Performance Tune the Coast RPM is always well above 1000 RPMs (1100 to 1200).
Each time that I attempt to set the Idles, I set the Drive and the Neutral the same. Currently I have each Idle set to 650 and My Idle settles at about 1100 when I am coasting.
My Info:
Part No. on back: 149004
part no. in unit: u7151 f150
Version: v.9r11
Serial: d008126

RE: 2006 F150 Manual Trans - Idle / Coast RPM High
Idle in D is usually 100 or so RPM higher than Neutral, but that should not affect it.
Load the stock tune and see if it acts the same way.

RE: 2006 F150 Manual Trans - Idle / Coast RPM High
I loaded the Stock Tune this morning with the same modifications that I put in the 87 Octane Tune and Global Spark 1 to the right.
Coasting Down Hill and prior to Stop Lights is much different than the 87 Oct Tune. About 850 to 900 Coasting Down Hill at 60, it is about 750 when coasting to a Stop Light and then settles to 650 when I am almost stopped. I also noticed that the RPMs drop quicker with the stock tune.
The 87 Octane Tune is clearly more powerful at all Engine Speeds. I would really like to have 87 Octane Tune react the same as the Stock when Coasting.
ps. I did double check to make sure that I sellected Manual Trans because the RPMs are acting the same as My sons 2000 Ranger that was an Automatic.
Please Help...

RE: 2006 F150 Manual Trans - Idle / Coast RPM High
I have since loaded the Performance (93) Tune this with the same modifications that I put in the 87 Octane Tune and Global Spark 1 to the right instead of the 4 or 5.
The result was basically the same except when I innitially let off of the gas and place the trans in Neutral, the RPM quickly head down to 650 then immediatly jump back to 1150 or more RPM until I am down to about 3 or 4 mph. At that point it quickly steadies at 650.
Stock Tune with a Global Spark Advance has a noticable increase in power, but not as good as the 87 Oct Tune, but the Coast RPM issue will cause me to burn more fuel during normal driving.
Can anyone from DAIBLO help? I can Data Log and Load Revs and Tunes to the Preditor
