you're welcome!blazingzz wrote:thank you white lightning i will try that tomorrow. do you know of any way within tuning to get this thing to shift better from 1-2 and 2-3 at part throttle an wot. Its just bad shifting. My 05 had great shifts this one is horrible. Or is this something diablo will have to solve.
I don't know what can be done about better shifting. I am looking at your tune and graphing shift points trying to figure out if there are some shift point changes that could help.
CMR can adjust several things for shift points that the "modify tune" feature of the Predator does not.
I appreciate this so much man. I have not got to try your tune out yet I tried out Johan's so far and It did not help my idle issue. Seems as if he went in the right direction with the shifting just still not where I would like it. Seems as if some of the shaking went away also and wot between 40-60. Still there just not as frequent. I will try your tune tomorrow I hope white lightning. This week is nasty with the rain. My computer also took a crap on me yesterday so I had to go and buy one today. There was a thousand dollars i was not budgeting for. But like I said I will try and give your tune a try tomorrow though. I do really appreciate everything too.

blazingzz,
you're welcome.
I looked at Johan's file. he set idle airflow up, but set idle rpm to stock and minimum idle rpm stock. I did not do the airflow increase, I increased minimum idle rpm in "N" & "D".
the ideal fix for your idle may be my tweak + Johan's tweak combined. we will know more when you try my tune.
my tune does not have Johan's shifting fix in it, DO NOT do any WOT runs with my "idle fix" tune.
when you raised WOT shift rpm & rev limit, the rev limit didn't raise right. Johan fixed the rev limit, it is now at 6,200 rpm for both main rev limit & autostick. you were probably hitting the rev limit during shifts, which makes for a crappy shift.
main rev limit was 6,000; 5,800 in autostick in the file you posted. rev limit usually needs to be 300- 400 rpm above WOT shifts, even bigger gap on high horsepower motors that rev real fast.
might be some shift improvements to be made in your shift schedule. I'm studying that when I have time. have all of the lower shifts on graph paper, and part of 3-4, 4-3, 4-5 & 5-4. ran out of room on the sheet and need to add to it.

white lightning i tried your tune out yesterday and today and it still is dropping down to my stock idle when I come to a stop. Half the time it will jump back up to the set rpm the other half i had to touch the gas to get it to jump up. If there is anything I could do to help you out let me know. Do I need to log anything when I drive it so you can see whats going on. I have never did any of this before so I would need a little assistance on how to get you any info you need. Im sure I could manage though. Even if you need part throttle driving and maybe a couple WOT runs to see if my truck is performing the way it should. If I could get some more power or even better shifting that would be awesome. I'm just not too sure whats left to do with my idle. Its just strange the way it will drop back down to stock setting when coming to a stop. I appreciate any effort and time your putting into this. Its really cool of you to help me out like this. Thanks alot.
here it is if so... I dont know why I asked it is just as easy to post it lol.

no, I will use the file I already wrote for you and add Johan's airflow tweak to it + Johan's shifting adjustments. I will increase the rev limit 100 rpm so the WOT shift to rev limit gap will be 400 rpm instead of 300 rpm.blazingzz wrote:Also do you need a copy of my original back up?
should be able to do WOT runs with the new file. will try to post the new file soon.

blazingzz,
try this, hope it idles good and shifts good. there are 2 more airflow tables that can effect idle besides the one Johan adjusted, so if the idle still falls to stock, I can try tweaking those tables too.
