9r20 on U7194 causes failure when backing up OEM tune
I upgraded my predator from 9R14 to 9R20. Does not allow me to save original tune when trying to load diablo tune. Causes the ecm to throw stabiltrack errors and car wont start. clearing codes allows car to start but will not save original tune and fails.
I then used 9R19 and everything works fine. I have inquired about this in another post but received no response from support. Called tech support and after 15 minutes spoke to a tech who was very short on the phone, didnt let me finish what i was saying, cut me off and was very condesending. He seemed under great pressure to answer calls quickly and move on to the next call. His solution was to send the tuner back. I am not adverse to this but seems to me that if several people are having the same problem with an update that the issue resides with the update. Does Diablo keep the diferent hardware iterations of the predator on hand and when a new update is pushed out it is first tested? If R19 works fine but R20 fails the backup of the original wouldnt that be key information to see if the coding is bad in that area? Also I live locally( within 5 miles) but was told you dont allow walk ins.
I am not getting a good feeling about Diablo support.
Your phone support needs much to be desired
Your web site recommends using the forum but you dont respond to posts.
You dont allow walk ins. (no sense of urgency to fix the users issue)
Sems like the solution is to "send it in" even after several people have complained about the same thing.
Your product works great when it works. But having spent good money on it I expect better support.

RE: 9r20 on U7194 causes failure when backing up OEM tune
Hi, greetings from Germany !
At first : sorry my english is not perfect.
Some Camaro 2010 driver in Europe have same problems with the 9R20 Update.
Symptoms the same as bocass discribes !
These are the DTC`s the PCM sets : codes: p0606, p0607, u0101, u0109, u0121, u0140
Predator shows : backup not saved(-11) an he tried again with the same result
After that i "reupdate " the predator to r19 i have no problems to flash the PCM
with the Diablo-Tune ( 93 oct ).
I think you have a bug in your update !
For the future it make sense to have a update archive with older versions !
Please be so kind and think about that.
Best wishes !

Car was shipped to Germany in November 2010, before shipping the
dealer updates the car :
#09207A: Service Update for Inventory and Customer
Vehicles - HVAC Reprogram, Engine Harness Position
Inspection, Rear Spoiler Fasteners - (Sep 23, 2009)
this must be the last update.
In Germany - at the moment - nobody can update the Camaro,
because GM starts selling the Camaro in Europe not until Sept. 2011.
Maybe you can see something in GM`s -TIS :
http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web
Thank You
edit :
oh, i see you have version c ! I try it today.
