maf sensor

Post by RSBAD454 »

I have a 2010 Camaro SS with a six speed manual. If I load the 91 octane tune, is it recommended that the stock MAF sensor be used or can an after market unit be used?

Do not use aftermarket sensors on Gms.

Ok, is there any reason for this? Does it make a false signal for ECU?

yeah, do NOT install an aftermarket MAF sensor, ever! the stocker's are good for 550-600+ hp anyway, so no need to change them...

the aftermarket crap fools the engine/ecm into thinking the car is running leaner than it really is... so once you go to do a tune, you will never get the fueling adjusted correctly or get things dialed in because of that...

keep the stock MAF sensor (with the screen if it came with one in it!) on it!

I'm still kicking around a supercharger....so I guess the stock one will just be able to withstand an Edelbrock E Force. What do you charger for a custom Tune 06MonteSS?

for a supercharger tune?? nothing! because I don't do them... hehe... I don't do forced induction tunes via email... you need to go to a dyno for that....

for N/A tunes, only $125...

You'll gain even better/quicker throttle response, acceleration, stronger/harder pull, and even better mileage - if you can keep your foot out of it! hahahah...

What I'd need from you is a copy of your original backup stock tune file, a copy of the "last tune written" tune file, and the paypal, that's it... then we're good to go. and I can usually have the initial custom tune done and sent back to you the same day/night that I receive everything.

Here's info about my custom tuning:

http://www.diablewtune.com/

there are links on there to all the info and programs you'll need - i.e. what files I need, how to export/import tune files, my paypal info, etc etc...

as well as a link to a small sample of just some of the "Testimonials" I've received from people I've done my tunes for - makes for good reading, hehe.

once I get you the initial tune sent back and you install it, then I'll have you do a data log for me... I'll send instructions about doing that when I send you the first custom tune revision later...

Thanks for asking man!!

oh, and you can email me directly at [email protected]... makes things easier than having to check forums all the time for messages, hehe... and if you have any instant messenger, let me know which one and what your screenname is, that would make things even easier, hehe..

thx!
