Can't find Calibration ID PCM

So this is sort of not an issue anymore but I'm curious to find out why it happened. I have used the diablo on my car before and there is currently a tune loaded onto the PCM. It has always worked and given me no problems.

One day I plugged in the diablo to do some data logging and whenever I tried to do anything it said, "Can't find calibration ID PCM." The only thing that I can think of that changed was that I had just finished replacing the clutch and the battery had been disconnect for about 30ish hours. I went out today to get the exact error message but it worked out of no where. The car has been running for about a week now so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

I'm just curious as to why this happened. Will or can this problem just randomly happen again? An explanation or even a "I have no clue" is all I'm looking for. Again, the product works just fine now.

No it was definitely on. The message said something about making sure the the key was on and I definitely made sure it was turned.
