I have just purchased a U7135 Predator and had a beatch of a time getting my computer to recognize the tool. The mini-CD that came with the U778 I purchased at the same time was shattered in the box.
OK, so moving on.... I downloaded the DSD downloader and the two recommended updates (9r12 and 9r28). When I went to install the 9r12 it asked me to wait for the tool to reboot, but the tool stalled and I could not get it to unfreeze. I then unplugged it and then stupidly powered up the toll and went and tried to install the 9r28 update. Now the too simply shows "Launching App..." and is frozen. Rebooting does nothing as the same message keeps coming up. Now I have lost connectivity to the tool and am getting nowhere.
Does anyone know how to repair this problem as I am at my wits end....

The latest Predators don't support 9r12. I too experienced this. You need to install 9r28 using the instructions here: http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?na ... ad&id=3944
'click here if tool says application missing or corrupt' is the answer.

Well, I discovered that the tool was defective and the retailer was nice enough to swap it out, and being the very mice folks that they are, they downloaded the patch in the store and tuned my car as well. Can't do better than that! Now I have another problem, as I'm sure some of you have experienced. I cannot get any of my computers to recognize the tool. I installed the USB to Serial drivers, this this not work. I went to the Prollific driver website and downloaded their latest driver and this does not work. The tool simply will not connect with my computers. It's not the tool as the retailer had no problems. Anyone have any ideas?? I want to tweak my tune and can't connect.

What version of Windows? If its 7 you need to run in XP Mode.
You can't tweak you tune on the computer anyway. The only changes you can make are on the handheld.
