Stuck In Limp Mode, can't read clear trouble code,QA issue?
Mike,
I've got a 2006 300c SRT8 (mfg date 12/05). Only mods are K&N CAI and ESP/BAS cut off switch to accelerometer power wire(per LX Forum instructions), and now Predator.
The download and install went fine. Installed 93 CAI tune, modified the fan settings and increased the idle by +150. Test drive went great (10 min ride). Test drove with ESP/BAS circuit open, felt even better. Got home decided to lower the idle rpm to +100. When I did the edit, I forgot to close the ESP switch, tried to edit in QA, but instead of hitting escape I scrolled through and repeated the existing values each time and got "Failed to Change" message. Finally found the rpm edit in modify program mode, made the edit and finished the change. When I went for the test drive the car wouldn't shift out of 1st gear, engine light came on and wouldn't pull past 3k rpm. I tried reloading the stock program with the ESP mod switch off and have gotten the same problem, the ESP/ BAS lights come on also. Also noticed the 1st attempt at start, the starter will engage then stop, either foot on the brake or 2nd try with holding the key will start the engine.Putting the car in gear forward and reverse creates a noticible bump.
Removing the negative cable didn't reset the engine light. Predator shows no faults, will not clear the fault.
Predator info:
Ser #: d008d3b
Part #: u7135u7135
version: v.8r14
Born: 9/28/07
CALID 05030232AF
Last Tune: Original backup
Do you think r15 will help? What do I need to do to clear the fault?
Thanks

RE: Stuck In Limp Mode, can
Not sure if 8t15 will fix it, but I will send it to you to try.
What is the current state of this car?
Thanks

Mike,
The car is currently in the garage. The stock tune is in it, I have reconnected the ESP power wire. Backed the car up yesterday, start required holding the key in the start position longer than normal for the starter to engage, engine light and ESP / BAS lights came on, hard bump going into reverse.
Saturday tried putting in the 91 CAI tune with no mods with same results. Reloaded stock program. Predator still states no faults in diagnostic mode. Tried to clear fault with the predator anyway. Engine light and ESP/ BAS light came back on immediately at start up.
Thanks

I think there may be a TSB out on the starter problem. May have to get the dealer to check it out.
07 CHARGER R/T: 6.1L Cam, springs, & rods, Dynatech headers W/ Hi-Flow Cats, AFE CAI, Catch Can, Flowmaster Catback, Jet 180 T-Stat, Hotchkis Sways. All installed by myself, I paid no one for installation of any mods.
Future mod wishlist: Pedders suspension, heads, bigger cam, LC-1, & Nitrous.
