2011 Mustang V6 - Axle Ratio Change not working
I have a Trinity upgraded to the latest CROM revision and a 2011 Mustang V6 automatic. Yesterday I had 3.73 gears installed. I used the Trinity to modify the Diablo Performance tune to change the Axle Ratio from 2.73 to 3.73. I then loaded the tune but.......the axle ratio change DOES NOT WORK. The MPH displayed on my speedometer still matches exactly the 2.73 ratio calculation.
I have tried this multiple ways (Modify stock tune, Multiple loads) and the functionality does not work.
So now am I'm stuck driving my vehicle which is logging on the odometer at a 30% higher rate!???? Please help!

I also need this fix for the 2011 Mustang V6 automatic. I am planning to change my differential gears late next week to 3.55 and need to adjust the axle ratio. Any idea on how long to get this fixed?
RE: 2011 Mustang V6 - Axle Ratio Change not working
after you made the change/adjustment to the new gear ratio, did you then SAVE the change before reinstalling the tune??

RE: 2011 Mustang V6 - Axle Ratio Change not working
Yes I did save the change, And I attempted the procedure multiple times. I even confirmed the procedure with Diablosport tech support over the phone.
After a few minutes on the phone with Diablosport technical support they put me on hold.....then came back on the line and said it is a known issue. However, they gave me no timeframe for a fix and didn't even take my contact information. They told me to watch the website for CROM updates, but could not give a timeframe.
I am extremely disappointed with their level of customer service at this point. I purchased the tuner with the main purpose of changing the axle ratio parameter. Now I have a $500 device that doesn't do what it advertised it would do.

Did you change the parameter for 'enable axle ratio change'?

RE: 2011 Mustang V6 - Axle Ratio Change not working
Mike,
I am planning to have my differential gears changed from the current 2.73 to 3.55 the end of this week, so I am very interested in what you and "KonaBlueDuece" come up with (I do think he said he worked with your tech support group over the phone).
I loaded the Diablosport "87 Octane Performance" tune in my 2011 Mustang V6 and it really improves the "driveability" of the car. However, I wonder what it does about the differential gear setting? I did not look at any of the "variable parameters." Does it set the differential gear to 2.73 or 3.31, or does it just not change it from what ever is in the stock tune?
Thanks Mike - the "87 Octane Tune" for the 2011 Mustang V6 is GREAT!!

RE: 2011 Mustang V6 - Axle Ratio Change not working
Hi Mike.....I did not change the 'enable tire/axle ratio change' parameter. This may be a stupid question question but should I change that parameter to "enable" in addition to changing the axle ratio parameter?

Yes, you must set that to enable in order for the axle ratio change to take effect, sorry for the confusion.
Thanks
Thanks

Yea, it leaves those values stock unless you change them in the tuner yourself.MustangSTL wrote:Mike,
