0-60 Times

Post by decker0861 »

I have a 2010 Challenger R/T Classic. The car has the Super Track Pack so I don't know if this makes a difference with my 0-60 time. I also have a C&L intake, 180 degree thermostat and I'm running the 91CAI tune. I've read it is much better than running the 93 tunes.

If you have the buttons on your steering wheel, you can hold the music note and the home buttons down a menu will pop up. Use the up and down buttons to find a 0-60MPH timer.

My best is 4.89. I'm reading people talk about 5.5 on R/Ts as good so I'm thinking the car is very responsive to what I'm doing. What is your all's times?

I'm finding the car runs really strong with non-ethanol 93 octane. You can also go to puregas.org to find a local station near you.

Mine is 4.70 in my R/T. While it is fun to play with now and then, there are really way too many factors involved with comparing those times. I have seen times posted as low as 4.40's on an R/T and high into the 6's. There isn't that much differnec in these cars performance. it is a mutlitude of other factors that make up the difference. None the less, nice time.

My car had no wheelspin or hop. It was about a week ago to the tempature was about 75. I'm located about 15 feet above sea level if that. Based on the dyno read out, the torque drops off at 5000 RPMs so I shift at about 4800. The time it takes the car to make the shift its at 5000 and the car really responds well going into second.

I'm going to the local dragway on the 13th so I'll try another time there.

I have a buddy who has a stock R/T. He asked me if the intake and the programmer really work. Of course they do to the person who spent the money on them. I stated we should find out. Oddly enough we were lined up at a red light. When the light changed, we took off. We were going to 55 and when I reached that, he was about 6 or 7 car lenghs behind me.

I'm just interested in the times others are getting based on their mods.

I understand 4.89 isn't the fastest on here. Considering the very few mods I've done, I'm basically wanting to know if my time is respectable and how it stacks up with the rest. I bet that truck is a beast. What have you got done to it, Mike?

that is very respectable. I had no wheel spin on mine either because I roll into it. Same way I launch at the drag strip now. been 12.90's on stock RSA's in an R/T with nothing more than the predator, borla catback. That was with stock air box.

RonP,
Which Borla catback system do you have? I'm looking at that system but I really can't see the different in the couple models.

Mike Levy,
Should I change my injectors to get more fuel in the system? I'm assuming the more air and fuel I put in the engine and change the exhaust to allow more dead air out, the more power I'll make. True?

You don't need new injectors unless you're maxxing out the stockers. That won't happen until you do at least heads and cam. Bigger injectors won't add more fuel if the motor doesn't need it. The pulses will just be shorter.

Wish I could still run stock injectors. Now my truck won't run without a tune. I'm screwed if I ever have a problem where I need to go to a dealer, and I can't get to the Hemi Shop. :(
