Aspen 2008 Hemi towing and general maps

I am about to get the Trinity for my Aspen 2008 Hemi (10th digit is an '8' ). I have searched and read all maps are towable. iI my searches I have seen that competitors have default maps for economy and towing. in an effort to keep things simple some recommendations for creating specific towing maps or desired ranges could be helpful. ie shift points, trans temps, etc. could be helpful. I understand and realise that once your are tunned at par, towing on other activity should not make a huge difference.

Well first of all, welcome to the diablosport forum.

I own a 300c so maybe a few tuning options may differ...

Basically, for hauling stuff around, I think your best friend is the throttle boost option. You can increase it up to 20%. This will help you get off a dead stop when you carry heavy stuff.
I guess you could also load a lower timing map with high octane fuel to prevent detonation. By default you should get 5 maps with the trinity.
1)93 perf cai tune
2)93 perf tune
3)91 perf cai tune
4)91 perf tune
5)Stock tune

So you could load a 91 tune with higher octane fuel in the tank. I guess that couldn't hurt.

You could also get a lower temp t-stat and adjust the radiator fans accordingly.

I don't own an aspen or durango so I don't know if we have the same tuning options, but perhaps someone who does will chime in and tell us both...

I think that either the predator or trinity are great tools to get the most out of your aspen.

In my boats forum there are a few locked and permanent threads to maintain helpful information available. with the number of trucks that are in this forum, I would think it be very helpful to have recommendations for towing setting guidelines. your recommendation for the Trottle boost is an example, must be a few for tranny and other components.

Yeah! Not too shabby if I may say so... the Aspen looks good!! Vanilla light side it is then... haha

I wonder what kind of times this would run on the 1/4... let's say with a 100 shot for starters.

untuned stock 0-60 seems to be +-7.4 , nothing to get excited about...

Did you get that time with the EVIC?
Most of the time, stock and untuned is nothing to get exited about.
My stock and untuned 0-60 was around 6.3...
I did a 5.0 flat with good gas and the 93 perf cai map.

It's not just the additional power... There is also a lot of torque management taken out of the equation with these maps.

there is no EVIC in the Dashboard on the ASPEN, it is installed on the roof front panel, not as sexy as the 300 or the newer 2011 models have. this is why the Trinity is more appealing than the predator.
