MEXICO AND DIABLOSPORT.....will it work?

Post by Jareza »

I have a question for admins or Mike if he could answer it promptly:

My job Transfered me to Mexico about 3 years ago......... I bought my charger here in Mexico (R/T) with all the fuzz the diablosport started I jumped on a Group buy but never asked the following questions before buying:

1.- Will predator work on my charger? (2006 R/T, yes its an export vehicle)
2.- Mexico has two types of gasoline: 87 octane and 92 octane.... which tune should I use? the 91 octane or the 93 octane?
thanks!

We will be releasing an update to allow support of export calibrations soon.

I would use the 92 octane gas and the 91 octane tune from the Predator.

Thanks

I'm kind of in the same boat. I have a Police Charger and I've been told there are NO plans to make it work on my car.

I wouldn't say no plans, keep watching for updates :)
We will keep you informed of our progress on the police packages.

As for Export vehicles.. tunes are done and we are working on building the code and testing it.

Hey Mike:
I just wanted to ask you something....
before realizing that the predator will not work on export cars, I plugged in the programmer and said it needed an update... I updated the programmer, plugged it back on the car and then "updated" the car... the programmer did something to it because it asked me twice for a key cycle.... It also turned off the stereo, and turned on the headlights as well as some dashboard indicators.....

After that update, I tried installing a performance tune and it said it needed another update, that's when I realized that the programmer does not work on export cars....
My direct question is:
What did the programmer install on my car?
And my last question is: Any news on the export tunes?
thanks!

I do not think you actually installed anything in the car.
Post up the cars calibration ID and I'll look it up.

The update above from MikeW pretty much says it all, and he is the owner/President of the company, so he would know for sure.
