U7160 problem

i have an 03 ford 6.0 that my programer isnt able to support. i'm not sure if the computer was updated because i've only had the truck for a little over a year. from what i hear i can send it in to be updated but i'm wondering if there is anything i can download to not have to send it in. any help would be appreciated. thanks

This tool is over 4 years old, as it has been out of production for that long.
it will not work without sending it in for a $99 hardware upgrade to convert it to a U7165.

I'd return it unless you got a smoking deal on it....

thanks. i'll send it in. it's was a pretty good deal at 35 bucks at my door. how long does it normally take to turn around?

Not bad.

The update is done by hand, usually about 2 weeks from the time we get it.
