2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, ABS light on after attempting to m
I have a 2011 JGC. The light has been on after trying to modify the tire size. I've been told the only way to turn it off is to have the dealer do a "restore configuration" from the "witech" computer. Can the configuration be restored without having to go to the dealer?

What tool are you using? Theres no 2011 support yet. It shouldn't have done anything.
RE: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, ABS light on after attempting
I have an old hyper tech laying around and downloaded an update. They told me I need to do the "restore configuration" option on the witech device.
I took my car to the dealership. We did the "restore configuration" option and it worked.
However, the code stays stored in the PCM. If we attempt to clear it the code re-appears and the ABS light comes back on.
What we learned is you have to leave the code stored on any 2011 Chyrsler vehicle. If you try to clear the code after re-flashing the PCM, all kinds of codes and lights will come on. If you just leave it alone after the re-flash, no new codes appear and the old ones go into "Stored" status rather then "active".
Hopfully this adds some insight to your engineers. I noticed the DS clears codes after it flashes the PCM. If you remove that from your code, you will be able to restore anyones original configuration.
Can you guys test this? If it works maybe you could start handing out some Beta Croms?
