Octane Range of 93 Octane Diablosport Performance Tune?

Mike, I know that the stock tune in the 2011 Mustang V6 will handle fuel from 87 Octane to 93 Octane by adjusting the timing - advancing timing or pulling timing back. Ford makes the statement that they can get additional horsepower, out of the stock tune, with 93 Octane fuel.

Can you tell me what is the "Octane range" of the Diablosport 93 Octane Performance Tune? Can the tune pull enough timing to keep 87 Octane fuel from pre-detonating?

Thats not a good idea at all, if you want to run 87, use the 87 octane tune

Mike, can you tell me if the 2011 Mustang V6 Diablosport 87 Octane Tune or the 2011 Mustang V6 Diablosport 93 Octane tune uses the "knock sensors," in the 2011 V6 block, to retard timing if you get the wrong grade of gas at a gas station?

One more question - and thanks very much for all your help! My Trinity says it currently has Ford_can_gas 1t08ae 03/25/2011 .
Is there a newer version of Ford_can_gas out? I got an indication of a new loader 2.2.2.6 and I downloaded it. However, when I go to UPDATE TOOL I don't get any indication there is a new update. Does that mean I have the latest Ford_can_gas CROM?

yes, 1r08a is the latest.

if you register your trinity, it will update it to all of the latest updates automagically.

Yes, you must restore the stock tune prior to updating.
