Predator tune, too lean.

Predator tune, too lean.
Hey guys, I'm new to the predator tuner, so I figured I'd come on here and see if I could get some assistance.
I'm currently adjusting the WOT fuel parameters, all the levels (1-2k, 2-3k, etc etc) are at 1, and the car is running at 10 in WOT.
What fuel parameters would you suggest for me to get the car's a/f to read about 11.5-11.8 in WOT?
Thanks!

RE: Predator tune, too lean.
You need a Wideband to have any idea what the AFR is.
Why do you want it that rich?
N/A HEMIs tend to like low 12's for best power.

But he's got an SRT4, not a Hemi. Check out his screenname.

lol....
BUT, even more reason to have a wideband, can't guess on FI cars!!

RE: Predator tune, too lean.
yeah, I've got a procomp wideband. All the SRT4 guys I've talked to said that 10 is way too lean, and that they got pretty good results with it at 11.5 ish. So my question is, here's the set up on the screen (i'm sure you're all familiar with it, but examples never hurt)
1-2k
2-3k
3-4k
4-5k
5-6k
6-7k
where would the recommended start point be? when I first went in to change WOT fuel parameters, all levels were set at 1 and the car was running at 10 in WOT...

Again, it all starts with where you are now.
If you are at 10:1, and you pull 10% fuel, you'll go to 11:1. (in theory

RE: Predator tune, too lean.
I just tuned it a second ago, based upon some information gathered from a guy on the SRTforms. He said start higher and end lower...
with that being said, here's my current WOT fuel parameter setup:
1-2k: 0
2-3k: 3
3-4k: 2.5
4-5k: 2
5-6k: 1.5
6-7k: 1
Now, I notice the a/f hit 12.9 on the wideband (which is reeeallly rich), and the car pretty much, either backfired, or I should say stuttered in first gear in WOT. So where should I tune from here? go leaner?
or, would you recommend me reinstalling the factory diablo 93 tune, and making WOT fuel adjustments from there?

You need to do some logging and see whats happening when and where.

RE: Predator tune, too lean.
I don't have that luxury right now...so should I just rest the car to the diablo 93 tune? or the stock tune?
RE: Predator tune, too lean.
I think you are thinking backwards. 10:1 is richer than 12:1
if you were running 10:1 at diablo settings and added fuel in the tune then you would go richer IE.. 9:1
9 parts air to 1 part fuel....... 14:1 is 14 parts air to 1 part fuel.
also if your not dataloging the wide band you won't be able to view it fast enough during a test drive.
I would start with the diablo tune and do a datalog and post it up here before you cause any damage.

RE: Predator tune, too lean.
Im sure the srtforum guys have mentioned it, but a trinity is a great addition to these cars so you can log AFR with your OBDII data.
Makes tuning much simpler, but at the very least, you need to be logging with the Predator to see where you're at.

RE: Predator tune, too lean.
alright, I think the issue has been discovered. I've got stage 2 injectors with a stock ecu, so I'm going to have to get the injector rescale file written to the car.
