Correcting Hard Shifting

Trying to upload my U7198 v2.12 to PC for correction. Can not up load using downloaded GM Predator interface 1.08 software.This software does not have a selection for 115200 baudrate. I have tried various Prolific PL2303 drivers for USB to serial cable. Have changed bits per second from 57,600 to 115,200 to 128,000 to speed up transfer rate. Have also changed to different com ports to match to software. Have removed all other USB cables on three different PC's running XP Pro SP3 and one running Vista. The best, and not always I get is, Software starts communicating and data transfer stops at 1%. Predator tool screen says *FLASH UPLOAD* Address:1080 BLKS Xferd 33, when is doesn't comunicate XMODEM timeout. I believe this Predator is defective and would like a RMA to have corrected the firmware and software installed on the tool.I really have no need to do another upgrade. I just want the adaptive shifting to be corrected, as the first 1.xx software did not hard shift my transmission like this 2.12. Got to be a flaw, it's all over the forum. I'd upload the tune like I should be able to. If I'm not mistaken the 2.12 is suppose to be able to do this. Why can't this be corrected without me forking over $99?

what is it you're trying to upload to it??

the only thing you can upload to it would be a custom tune...

you can not upload the internet updates for the revision update crom files with that ollllld predator... that programming/functionality was not part of those old tools...

if you want the new updated tunes and functionality, you have to send it in for the $99 upgrade...

Uploading saved tune from vehicle to PC to be corrected. Not updating tool. Predator has the com port for this correct? Don't want the updated tunes. Just want the shifting issue fixed. Should I use a Serial cable instead? Does anybody really know?

could be a bad usb cable... definitely wouldn't be the first time someone's usb cable was bad...

USB to Serial cable did not work. I have the tunes loaded to my PC via serial cable connection. Will this be corrected in both stock and Performance tunes. What about the 87 tune that's not installed? Do I need to load that and send to be corrected?

are you using the GM99_02PredatorInterface_108 program to export the file from the predator to your PC??

that's the program you need to use on that old predator...

Well Mike, loaded tune to Predator and went to install custom tune. Predator finished writing data then File Integrity error pops up. Press enter got Script Error, program error Install stopped. What needs to be done to load this tune to my truck? Sent you new tunes after restore procedure.

Well Mike, the last tune Johan wrote installed fine. No hard shifting at part throttle, he says he left the part throttle shifting stock. My question to you is will I be able to adjust shift pressure during part throttle and is the TM permanently on all the time.

Hello, Mike. I screwed up restoring backup tune and lost the custom tune Johan wrote 4 years ago. Is there any chance I can get it fixed again? Or is trade in the only option?
