About T1000 for Mustang with CAI

Post by lestat »

Hello,
I'm a french people and I bought a 2008 Mustang GT/CS since 5 months now from Florida.

I'm thinking about buying a Trinity T1000.

I have just a question about the connectivity.

My car have a cold Air intake so it meens that it was already reprogrammed for this feature.
When I get the car, the dealer didn't have the device used for reprogramming.

So, now if I buy a trinity T1000 and I connet to the car, is there any problem of connection
because the car is not in stock tune ?

Regards.

It is a C&L cold air kit looks like.It is a good one,but I'm sure it has to be tuned. It could already be tuned by a Diablosport divice. If that is the case, it will work , no problem. If it has a custom tune you my have to take it to a Ford dealership and have it reflashed to stock, then you can reflash with the Trinity. There is a good chance it will recognize the tune and download it as the original backup. The Trinity will work, that is why I have 2 of them. The worst thing that could happen is you might have to have a dealer reflash to stock, then use the Trinity to retune for your CAI. The tune for the C&L CAI is already on the Trinity, along with many more. I really like mine. I am just a satisfied customer,I do not work for Diablosport, but that would be a fab gig.
Any Ford dealership can reflash your Mustang back to stock tune, but I would reflash it again to the C&L CAI tune in the parking lot before you leave.

Thank you very much for your analysis, Budlun.
So the is a lot of chance that my car is in stock tune.
After putting pictures, I have a look in "Mustangs Unlimited" catalogue and I found the C&L CAI and it is sold without programmer.

I'm not sure if French ford Car dealer can refresh my car program if I need because Mustang is not officialy sold in France.

Most C&L CAI kits require a tune on 05+ Mustangs.
